10 WWE Stars Who Would Be Nothing Without Their Props
2. Xavier Woods' Trombone
Not for the first time on this list, out of context, this one could be seen as odd.
Physically impressive, athletically gifted, hilarious and already quite over with the crowd, are but a few ways you could describe the credentials of The New Day's designated hype man, Xavier Woods.
Why then, did he feel it necessary to equip himself with a musical instrument to not only accompany his team's entrance to the ring but to serenade the audience throughout their matches?
The former Austin Creed used to play the trombone in high school and asked WWE one night if he could bring the object out with him. Vince McMahon loved it. This coming from the same team who were refused the notion of acknowledging a very obvious cast on Woods' then injured foot (with New Day spray painted on it) by the big boss.
Woods has become so synonymous with the brass that when his first love, Francesca, bit the dust at the hands of Chris Jericho in early 2016, Francesca II was soon birthed onto our screens to compensate.
Sure, it's goofy and silly but The New Day, and Woods especially, make it work. It's hard to imagine the team bundling down to the ring without the 'New Day Rocks' theme being pumped out of Francesca II, so you can count this as a prop well used.
