7. 1993 - Razor Ramon

This is where things start to go somewhat south with regards to the quality of the match.

1993 was the beginning of a time of change for the company, as the cartoon stars of the late 80s began to leave for bigger wages elsewhere and a new generation was to take hold of the company. One man who was a part of both of those situations was Razor Ramon, and he would surely have picked up the briefcase in 1993.

Razor turned babyface in the summer of 93, after refusing Ted DiBiase's advances to be his servant. Ramon would have won the case and subsequently been the first to fail in his cash-in, after announcing his challenge to then-champion Yokozuna ahead of time.

DiBiase would surely have been in the match in what was his career swan-song, as would have the man who brought about the change in Razor's attitude, The 1-2-3 Kid. Alongside those three would have been Tatanka, who was undefeated in the company until October of that year, King of the Ring runner-up Bam Bam Bigelow, previous winner Mr. Perfect and probably someone like Crush, who always seemed to be popular with the creative team.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
