I'll finish with the man who, barring any wacky booking over the next few weeks, will make his WWE pay-per-view debut in a World Championship match.

As of writing, Finn Balor is booked to go up against Seth Rollins for the newly-introduced WWE Universal Championship, after one of the strongest main roster debuts in memory this past week on RAW.

Balor's rise is equal parts surprising and predictable. Ever since he arrived in NXT it has been clear that the company had big plans for him, as seen with his record-breaking run as NXT Champion. This momentum continued when he found himself drafted in the first round last week.

Even so, I don't think anyone truly expected Balor to defeat Roman Reigns clean as a whistle on his first night. Most, myself included, expected Balor to be introduced in a taster feud against someone like Chris Jericho.

As it is, Balor's main roster PPV debut will come at SummerSlam, where he battles Seth Rollins for the new world title. The Patriot is no longer alone.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
