After competing almost exclusively on SmackDown for the majority of 2002, Randy Orton was drafted to Monday Night RAW in September of that year.

His first match saw him victorious against Stevie Richards, and the future Legend Killer would go on something of a winning streak to begin with, defeating Lance Storm and Christian too. He would then injure his shoulder (a frequent state of affairs for Orton), and was out of the ring for a couple of months.

When he returned he was a villain, aligned with Batista, and the duo would soon become a part of Evolution. It was an impressive beginning on RAW for Orton, and we all know how his career has gone since then. Orton was drafted back and forth between the two shows a few times, but has still managed to rack up an impressive 406 matches in his 14 years.

Well, 13 years, as Orton is yet to compete on RAW in 2016. His last match on the show came seven months ago, where he teamed up with Dean Ambrose in a losing effort against Tag Team Champions The New Day.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
