For Stone Cold Steve Austin, read John Cena. That isn't exactly true, to be honest, as Austin at least has some tag team pedigree in his illustrious back catalogue. Austin teamed with Brian Pillman as the Hollywood Blondes in the early 90s in WCW, a team that many feel were broken up before their time.

Under the WWE (well, WWF) umbrella Austin won tag gold on four occasions, doing so with four different partners. His first reign came with Shawn Michaels (as already mentioned), and whilst that was a 'enemies are partners' are story his second tag champion partner was a far more complex beast.

It was none other than Dude Love, one of the Three Faces of Foley, although Austin was challenging for the titles on his own at the start of the match. Their championship run would come to an end thanks to that whole 'broken neck and temporary paralysis' thing that Austin suffered at SummerSlam 1997.

Austin would also win tag team gold with The Undertaker and Triple H in later years. Not bad going at all.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
