10 WWE Stars Who Were Worthless Intercontinental Champions
8. Road Dogg
The New Age Outlaws were huge as a tag team. In fact, theyre arguably one of if not the most popular tag teams in professional wrestling. While Road Dogg and Billy Gunn have never had the greatest singles careers, their tag team career, which has awarded the pair six tag team championships, will go down in the annals of WWE history as being one of the best. During The Attitude Era they were untouchable, but when both men decided to move on to solo projects, neither wrestler really stood out. Road Dogg would have some success through winning not only the Hardcore Championship, but the IC title as well when he defeated Val Venis on an episode of Raw back in March of 1999. Road Doggs reign only lasted a couple weeks before he lost the title to Goldust. After that, he and Billy would continue to work together until Gunn suffered an injury that caused him to be out of action throughout most of 2000. Road Dogg and X-Pac would team up for a bit, but nothing was gained from it. They would split up, DX would break up, and eventually Road Dogg would be released in 2001 due to drug issues.
