10 WWE Stomping Grounds Impulse Reactions

8. The New Day Vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Big E battered Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens so profoundly towards the end of The New Day's clash with the troublesome twosome that it was little wonder the Montreal natives tried to keep him out of the match for its entire duration.

The hot start represented a rather unique bit of offence, save for the fact that it made the heels look like absolute sh*t for the umpteenth time this year. The finish would at least rehabilitate what they appeared to be losing early doors.

Big E was blindsided at the bell, allowing for Zayn and Owens to hit a collection of big-hitters that repeatedly garnered unconvincing two-counts. The muscle of the babyface trio thus had to froth at his ample gams before getting in, but returned to action proper with a stirring sh*tkicking that elevated the entire match from standard television fare to something worthy of a place on the pay-per-view.

Owens and Zayn, shockingly, got the win, too. May there yet be life in a pair of pushes that appeared entirely abandoned mere weeks earlier?
