10 WWE Storylines From 2017 That Will Never Be Resolved
2. Bray Wyatt's Mandatory Rematch Clause
In WWE, every titleholder receives a mandatory rematch clause - which is convenient, as it provides the company with the most unimaginative means possible of padding out the stupid amount of hours of television time they are obliged to fulfil. It's yet another arrow in the heart of creativity, but mourning that is pointless.
In WWE, every titleholder receives a mandatory rematch clause - with the stark exception of Bray Wyatt, who didn't bat an eyelid when it was announced that he would not receive the opportunity to recapture the WWE Heavyweight Title in the Payback House Of Horrors match. It was madness necessitated by...well. Wyatt apparently had to win, to restore his heat, cooling Orton's own momentum as champion in the process. This was prime 50/50 booking, a farcical copout of a farcical storyline. In the end, Orton Vs. Wyatt was both hysterically awful and completely pointless.
Wyatt never did receive his rematch. Moreover, having pinned Orton in that putrid non-title affair, he laid a new claim to a Heavyweight Title match. Bray Wyatt is owed two WWE Title matches.
That's about the only terrifying thing about him.
