10 WWE Storylines That Were Never Resolved

4. Kane vs Imposter Kane

WWE.comWWE.comJumping now to 2006 and we have the saga of the recently unmasked original Kane versus a masked fake Kane. This feud even got a PPV match at Vengeance in which the fake Kane absolutely destroyed the real Kane, thus ensuring the feud would continue. Or so you would think. The following night on Raw, the real Kane was in a match with Randy Orton when the fake Kane attacked him once again. This time around, the real Kane decimated the fraud, unmasking him and physically throwing him out of the building. Following that, he was never seen or heard from again. The man behind the fake Kane mask returned as Festus later on and eventually become Luke Gallows for a stint in WWE and Doc in TNA, and he now wrestles in Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling. As for the fake Kane angle, after he was ejected it was never mentioned again and the real Kane moved on to feud with Rey Mysterio. Again, this was the office killing the feud as they thought it was not getting over. They may have been right, but watching something that had been built on quite heavily and even given PPV come to an abrupt halt was still incredibly jarring television.
