3. Who Was Behind GTV?
WWE.comOne of the biggest storylines for a while in the Attitude Era was the identity behind the individual behind GTV - basically a series of hidden cameras backstage at every show that revealed wrestlers in embarrassing situations or compromising positions. These vignettes aired on WWE TV for a large chunk of 1999 and was supposed to be a vehicle for a Goldust push. But then Goldust ended up leaving the company in the middle of the build however and the GTV segments gradually just faded out from WWE programming. Although it was made for Goldust, we find it strange the WWE chose to forget about what they'd already established as opposed to using it to push another guy instead. A quick rewrite could have been done to put the spotlight on someone new, but the company chose instead to treat our memories like that of a goldfish.
