10 WWE Storylines That Have Aged Horribly

Given what's happening in the world today, it's unthinkable to picture WWE introducing terrorism as a storyline trope. As crazy as that would be, it's true that terrorism isn't exactly a new thing, and the sensitive nature of the subject hasn't stopped wrestling before. The last time terrorist action reared its ugly head in WWE was back in 2005.

Muhammad Hassan will forever go down in history as one of WWE's most controversial characters. An Arab-American furious over treatment in the US post 9/11, Hassan targeted The Undertaker as he looked to make a splash in the company. Unfortunately, he also had hooded thugs choke 'Taker with piano wire and kidnap him mere days after bombs went off in the London Underground.

This was poorly thought out, but so was the whole Hassan persona. Using terrorism in a wrestling angle just isn't entertaining, it's too close to home for people looking to enjoy fictional characters or dramatic stories that help take their minds off things. WWE won't be making this mistake again, we hope.
