10 WWE Storylines That Turned Into Real Life Shoots

6. Michaels Vs Hart On TV, Turning Into A Real Fist Fight Backstage

WWE.comWWE.comShawn Michaels and Bret Hart were meant to be involved in a feud for television, all hostility was meant to be fictional. However, with both feeling that they should be the WWF's number one star, tensions started to mount for real. As the storyline feud escalated, so did their real animosity. Things came to a head in the spring of 1997, Hart had cut a rambling Raw promo on Michaels, which HBK followed up the next week with his now infamous 'Sunny Days' comment. What Michaels implied by saying Bret was enjoying too many 'Sunny days' is that the Hitman was having an affair with WWF diva Sunny. A line had been crossed, the story had stopped and the personal had taken over.

Backstage, Hart confronted Michaels and accused him of €œF***ing with my family€.

€œWhat€™s your problem?€ Bret demanded. €œYou€ Michaels replied. The Hitman then tackled Michaels to the floor, leading to a short but brutal fight. Michales was furious and in pain from his hair being ripped out of his scalp. This led to the fictional storyline being put on hold as Michaels briefly quit the company, later being convinced to return.
