3. Hogan And Savage Feuding Over Elizabeth
wwe.comIn the late 1980's the WWF formed 'The Mega Powers' which consisted of top stars Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. They got over big as you'd expect, but the real idea behind the team was an eventual split which would allow for a Hogan vs Savage match at WrestleMania 5. Part of the storyline breakup was that Hogan was getting too close to Elizabeth, which led to jealousy and resentment on Randy's part. Eventually the Macho Man outright accused Hogan of stealing Elizabeth, leading to an attack and signifying 'the mega powers implosion'. Hogan won the WrestleMania match and that was the end of the story. A few years later however, reality mirrored fiction, with Savage and Hogan falling our for real over The Hulkster lending a shoulder to cry on for Elizabeth. This was during the 1992 divorce in which Savage and Elizabeth broke up for real. Hogan has denied anything went on with Elizabeth, stating that he merely offered support. It looks like Savage got paranoid and jealous in real life, just as he had done in WWF storylines.
