10 WWE SummerSlam 2016 Predictions
8. The New Day Pass The One-Year Mark As Champions
At last year's SummerSlam, The New Day defeated WWE Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players - along with Los Matadores and The Lucha Dragons - to capture the belts for a second time. Since then, they've defended the titles against just about every tandem in the company, all while amassing the longest reign with this iteration of the belts.
Their defense at SummerSlam will come two days before they can celebrate a full year as champions, but the victory is anything but assured. Their feud with The Club has become intensely personal, with the challengers taking Big E out on Raw a couple of weeks ago. It's since been announced that he won't be at the event, and that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will be representing the team in the match.
Despite all that, though, there's a lot of mileage in the Club-New Day feud (the only other team of consequence on Raw is Enzo and Big Cass, so this needs to be dragged out), so I wouldn't expect a title change just yet. New Day will retain and celebrate their anniversary on Raw.
