9. The Miz Retains The Intercontinental Title

Apollo Crews has been used really poorly since coming up to the main roster from NXT, and it's really a shame. The former Dragon Gate star could be a future main-eventer for the company, but the creative team hasn't really invested in him in any meaningful way. Even his highest-profile win thus far - a pinfall victory over Sheamus at Money in the Bank - was treated as a fluke, doing him no favours.

While it would be great to see Crews capture the Intercontinental Title en route to a real push, it's hard to imagine WWE taking the belt off of The Miz with so little buildup. Crews qualified for the title match on Smackdown two weeks ago, then wasn't even on the show last week.

It's more likely that Miz will win and the program will continue, but Baron Corbin and Kalisto will also get involved. That will set up a four-way match for the first Smackdown-only pay-per-view, Backlash.
