10 WWE SummerSlam 2016 Predictions
7. Reigns Reigns
Since returning from a suspension and losing at Battleground, Roman Reigns has found himself in unfamiliar territory - the midcard. The long-term plan is that shunting Reigns down the pecking order will ultimately make fans hate him less and accept him when he comes back into the main event.
Whether it's successful remains to be seen, but we're only at the beginning of it all, and for now, it's proceeding as planned.
That means that when Sunday rolls around, Roman Reigns is going to be adding a brand new accolade to his resume - the United States Championship. Rusev has held the title since Extreme Rules, and while he hasn't been protected like he was during his first reign with the belt, he's still a strong champion.
Still, for a company that's already sacrificed Seth Rollins, a Royal Rumble, and two WrestleMania main events to get Reigns over, Rusev isn't much of an issue.
The feud can't end, as "The Bulgarian Brute" will have a rematch clause, but Reigns will overcome his foe both at SummerSlam and Clash of Champions.
