10 WWE SummerSlam 2020 Nightmares That Could Come True

6. Dominik's Debut Turns Into A Tag

It was a slight surprise when WWE revealed that Dominik Mysterio would face Seth Rollins one-on-one rather than in some sort of tag bout at SummerSlam. According to the Wrestling Observer, doting father Rey made sure that his boy would get a proper solo debut when renegotiating his contract.

This guy still isn't convinced WWE won't pivot at the 11th hour.

Rey is ringside for a reason, and the same goes for Murphy. It's not a stretch to picture Dom vs. Seth beginning as a singles 'Street Fight' before both outsiders get involved and the match is reworked into a two-on-two tornado tag. Not the worst thing for Dominik (this is a pressure spot, after all), but hardly the grand coming out party he's been promised.

Rey and Dominik vs. Seth and Murphy also sounds like a match that should take place on Raw, not pay-per-view. The kendo stick beatings that have been doled out on TV over the past few weeks dictate that this needs to be a wounded son trying to avenge his wounded father, not a tag.
