10 WWE SummerSlam 2020 Nightmares That Could Come True
3. The Universal Title Match Main Events
As M. Shadows from popular rockers Avenged Sevenfold once screamed, "....niiiiiiiiightmaaaaaaaaare". That's what it'd be if WWE expected Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' to headline SummerSlam and cap off the entire evening. They'd be incapable, and not just because Braun's Universal Title reign has blown it.
This match doesn't have the grit of McIntyre vs. Orton, and it has relied heavily on cinematic smoke and mirrors to even remain workable since it started. There's going to be a fair bit of stalling here, probably some interference from Alexa Bliss and more supernatural mumbo jumbo from Wyatt.
It's not the right choice to end SummerSlam.
Picture this: McIntyre vs. Orton end their sweat-soaked, intense and realistic blend of brawling and wrestling. Then, WWE move on quickly to a video package that recaps burly Braun getting drowned at 'The Horror Show At Extreme Rules'. Yeah...
