10 WWE SummerSlam Matches That Should Have Happened At WrestleMania

3. The Rock Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. Triple H - 2000

The main event of WrestleMania 2000 was McMahon-a-palooza, as a fatal-four-way match saw Triple H, The Rock, Mick Foley and Big Show go at it with a McMahon in each corner. It was too much, even for the most ardent McMahon fans (McFans?), and pretty much guaranteed all sorts of McMahon shenanigans (McMahonigans?).

Would the main event of the biggest show of the year not been better served by the match that headlined the first SummerSlam of the new millennium instead? Instead of weighing the biggest match of the year down with a recently-retired Mick Foley and a not-yet-ready Big Show, you'd have a leaner triple threat featuring two of the biggest stars and your fast-rising Olympic Hero.

Mick Foley most certainly deserved to headline a WrestleMania, but he also deserved better than having to go back on a recent retirement vow to justify this ludicrous McMahon-heavy situation. How about doing Triple H vs. Cactus Jack at 'Mania instead?

Either way, Hunter vs. Rocky vs. Angle was a better option for me.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
