'The Rated-R Superstar' was such a huge wrestling fan as a child that even his peers predicted an in-ring career for the lanky Canadian.

With WWE Championship gold predicted by fellow students in his high school yearbook, Edge was known best for his love of professional wrestling, and has spoke at length about his WWE fandom was the genesis of a lifelong friendship with Jay 'Christian' Reso.

As documented in his own autobiography as well as in DVD profiles of the 'Rated-R Superstar', Edge considered himself the world's biggest Hulk Hogan fan, and can be spotted in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment sporting the red and yellow in the divided Wrestlemania 6 audience at the Toronto Skydome in April 1990.

In 2002, Edge got to live a dream within a dream, when he was given a Tag Team Championship run with his childhood idol after 'The Hulkster' had settled in to the Smackdown midcard during a popular nostalgia run.

Scripting his youthful fantasies into the pre-match promo, Hogan would catch Edge mimicking his poses in the mirror and the two would share a bond before unseating Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo for a brief reign as champions.
