10 WWE Superstar Careers Completely F****d By Injuries

9. Droz

Droz was another up-and-coming wrestler during the late 1990s. Many will recall his tryout in Beyond the Mat, where he showed his one true talent to Vince McMahon: he can vomit on command. This was punctuated by McMahon going into this announcer voice and saying, €œHe€™s gonna PUKE! HE€™S GONNA PUKE!€ After an unsuccessful run in the €œnew€ Legion of Doom where Droz infamously pushed Hawk off the Titantron and tried to pass it off as a suicide attempt (there were as many misses as hits in the Attitude Era), he joined up with Prince Albert and they formed a marginally successful tag team. During one of the earliest Smackdown tapings in late 1999, Droz faced D€™Lo Brown in a singles match. D€™Lo went to give Droz the running powerbomb, but D€™Lo couldn€™t get a proper grip, and Droz broke his neck on the landing, immediately ending his career and initially leaving him a quadriplegic. Not only did Droz€™s injury mess up his career, but it also indirectly affected D€™Lo€™s career. D€™Lo was on his way to being an upper midcard babyface, but he was so distraught after the injury (even though Droz has said on many occasions that it was a freak accident and not D€™Lo€™s fault), that he never fully mentally recovered, and he hovered around the mid and lower card for the rest of his WWE career.
