10 WWE Superstar Gimmicks That Just Aren't Working

10. Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke is kind of the enforcer/little buddy/fall girl for Charlotte, and that is clearly not working.

The entire booking between the two is nonsensical. Because in typical abusive wrestling relationships, you want to see the person being crapped on finally pulling it together, and beating up their tormentor. The problem is, no one is rooting for Dana turning face and giving Charlotte what’s coming to her.

Another problem is Brooke just wasn’t ready for the main roster. She was doing okay in NXT as a dominant wrestler, but everyone on Raw can beat her with ease. So what’s the point? Why hire someone physically intimidating only to have them lose all the time?

To top it off, there just isn’t any sort of natural chemistry between Brooke and Charlotte. They just don't belong together, and are only holding each other down a bit.

There really should be no shame in sending someone back to NXT for some time to improve as an act, and the company should strongly consider having Brooke leave Raw until they can figure out what to do with her...if they even want to continue doing something with her at all.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
