10 WWE Superstars Badly In Need Of A Character Reboot

6. Los Matadores

Diego and Fernando, aka Primo and Epico, have already been repackaged as the second coming of 1992 Tito Santana when they donned the neon green and pink tights as Los Matadores in 2013. Being joined by El Torito, it quickly became clear that the son and nephew of legendary wrestler and Puerto Rican promoter Carlos Colon weren't going to be used as much more than a comedy act. While that can be a good spot to have in WWE, Primo and Epico don't have the comedic chops and could be better utilised. As Los Matadores, their high point came at Extreme Rules 2014 in a comical yet physical WeeLC match between El Torito and Hornswoggle, backed by 3MB. Embracing their family heritage would be one way to take the Colons and give them a new direction, but as vicious, nasty heels decked out in black. A complete and total departure from the colourful, smiley, family-friendly bullfighters that have graced television screens for the past several years will be sure to revitalise the Colons and, more importantly, quickly regain the attention of the WWE Universe. Building up the tag division is never a bad idea, and with credible, veteran teams like heel Colons, WWE could make their tag division into something special.
