In terms of technical prowess, there isnt a single woman in WWE better than Natalya. Endowed with a family connection to the wrestling business, Natalya is the best technical woman working for Vince McMahon. Natalya has been a member of the WWE roster since 2007, and has been one of the most reliable workers in the Divas Division ever since. However, she seldom gets TV time on the major shows, and when she does, it isnt enough for her to really show off her skills. Its in NXT where she thrives, pulling off great matches with the women of NXT. Natalya has one reign as Divas Champion under her belt, but given her solid abilities, she should be a more frequent contender for the belt. Japanese Equivalent: Nanae Takahashi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfZPMADqwF0 As the tagline for that video suggests, Nanae Takahashi is possibly the best womens grappler in the world. Japanese womens wrestling, or joshi puro, is noted for being as technical and athleticism-focused as mens wrestling. Takahashi is no exception; she can perform at the same level as her male counterparts. She can perform stiff strikes, impressive diving attacks, impressive power moves, and can chain-wrestle at almost Daniel Bryans level. Nanae Takahashi is more or less the exact same size as Natalya, but she has had far more opportunities to have longer matches. The reason for this is how wrestling is divided in Japan; instead of having one promotion for both genders, they are separate entities: All Japan Pro Wrestling vs. All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling, for example. Though both women are gifted grapplers, Takahashi has enjoyed many more accomplishments. She has won womens singles and tag titles throughout Japan, and has had numerous high quality matches. If she and Natalya were to ever cross paths, it would be a clinic in what womens wrestling ought to be.
