10 WWE Superstars Who Were Lucky Not To Be Released Today
9. Mark Henry
Mark Henry just turned 43 years old (today actually) and he's worked for WWE for 18 years. He's also been very injury prone in the last couple of years. Last year he had a brief moment of greatness with his fake retirement promo that led to a feud with John Cena, but that may have been the end of his career. We've seen him get his ass kicked multiple times by Brock Lesnar, which could be the last time we ever see him in WWE. When you're his age and size it's not easy to keep performing at a high level. It's very unlikely that he will reach the same heights he was at in 2011 when he was booked as the dominant World Champion on the Smackdown brand. It's been tough for him in the last few years. Like with Christian, WWE may not ever release him simply because of his long tenure in the company. They could just let his contract expire and he could sign a Legend's deal or become a spokesman for WWE after his in-ring career is officially over.
