You may not know this, but Alberto Del Rio has actually participated in 14 MMA matches already between 2001 and 2010, where he racked up a decent 9-5 win-loss record.

Seven of Del Rio's nine MMA victories to date were by submission, demonstrating how lethal his rear naked choke in particular can be, while he also scored one KO victory from a kick to the head.

He's big, he's fast and he's technical, plus right now he's in easily some of the best shape of his career, pro wrestling or otherwise. Futthermore, it's safe to say that his stiff style could make him a devastating UFC competitor.

Chance Of Going To UFC: Though Del Rio's MMA history speaks for itself, his age might work against him a little as he turns 40 next May. Still, he would need minimal training (relatively speaking) to get Octacon-ready, and he'd be a huge financial draw for the lucrative Latin American fight market.

Plus, it's not like WWE are doing tons of interest with him these days. Still, Del Rio may prefer to keep this in the past considering his age and the solid record he ended on. 4/10
