10 WWE Superstars Who Were Probably Scientologists

2. DDP Becomes "Positively" Page - WWE, 2001

While recovering from a back injury in 2001, Diamond Dallas Page began to more aggressively seek public speaking opportunities. Page's story of becoming a wrestler at the age of 37 and remaining positive in the midst of incredibly difficult circumstances was his WCW calling card. Heading north of 40, taking an in-ring pounding while gaining popularity, and then becoming a championship-caliber competitor was proving to be inspirational and transforming for those hearing him speak, and became the basis for his character upon his return. "Positively Page" saying "that's not a bad thing, it's a good thing," and forcing his fellow competitors to find the silver linings in their flaws certainly would certain jibe well with Scientology. As well, given Page's vast financial largess and widespread multimedia platform with WWE, it's actually quite surprising that he (or VInce McMahon) weren't approached by the Church at the gimmick's height.
