Former NXT Champion Sami Zayn suffered one of the most unlikely (and unlucky) injuries in wrestling history earlier this year. While making his Raw debut on May 4, 2015, a celebrating Zayn threw his arms up in the air, hurting his shoulder. Though Zayn worked the subsequent match (a well-received United States Championship bout with John Cena), the injury required surgery. Since May, Zayn has been on the shelf, though he's expected to return to action early in 2016. It's unclear whether Zayn will be a full-time member of the WWE roster or if he'll still be part of NXT when he does return, but there's already a perfect feud waiting for him on Raw. Kevin Owens, who is responsible for Zayn's injury in storyline, is the current Intercontinental Champion, and he and Zayn have loads of unfinished business after a truncated NXT feud. The perfect comeback for Zayn would be a Royal Rumble return where he surprises Owens and eliminates him from the match, leading to a singles feud between the two. At WrestleMania, they can have their blowoff match, with Zayn winning the Intercontinental Title.
