Erick Rowan went down with an injury in late Sept., and is expected to be out for four-to-six months, which should place his return at early-to-mid next year (if something goes wrong). However, what exactly is he going to do when he gets back?

After his injury, he teased getting rid of his farm animal masks on social media, which could be a hint that he’ll return under a different act, or maybe it’s just a way to throw people off. Honestly, it would be a bit surprising if management firmly decided what they wanted to do with Erick Rowan when he’s healthy enough to return. He may have to dig that mask back up or buy a new one.

As a member of the SmackDown roster he could be inserted back into a role with The Wyatt Family, or perhaps they’ll try and push him as a singles act once again. It didn’t work out so well for him the first time as Big Red, but the Wyatt Family thing isn’t so hot anymore either.

Before his injury, Rowan was basically being used to job to Randy Orton in 4 minute matches. He can do better than that right? Maybe?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
