Did you know that Summer Rae was on the Raw brand? I sure didn't. But it’s true! She was drafted No. 44, ahead of Apollo Crews and former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry, but we haven’t seen her on TV since July 4. She continued working house shows, but her nagging injuries caught up with her in mid-August and she hasn’t wrestled since. It’s been reported that she’s dealing with elbow, neck and back problems.

In Sept., Summer posted a photo of herself on Snapchat wearing a traction device, but didn’t disclose the severity of her injuries. There’s been no news of an impending return, which means we likely won’t see her again until 2017.

Summer has improved in the ring during her time in WWE, but she’s still leagues away from the likes of Charlotte, and Sasha Banks. However, she’s at least in the same league as Dana Brooke, who receives TV time almost every week. While Summer may never hold the Women’s Championship, Raw desperately needs some competitors, so having her back at all will be a positive for the company, because eventually, Bayley is going to need someone else to beat.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
