10 WWE Superstars That Should NEVER Turn Heel

5. Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano is many wonderful things within the confines of his spiritual home in NXT, and though prior evidence suggests that he definitely could be a heel, it doesn't mean that he should.

An unexpected sojourn to the dark side midway through his ultimately unfinished programme with Tommaso Ciampa brought out the best and worst of 'Johnny Wrestling' - he wasn't at all convincing whilst stalking the night across the bridge in the Full Sail car park, but he performed spectacularly well in a subversion of his own style against Ricochet in a TakeOver North American title switch the following month. Just as he did as a temporary heel in the brand's blistering Halftime Heat six-man tag.

They got away with one, basically. Gargano is so good that he could fake being bad, but the black-and-gold brand might not be so fortunate second time around. Should the #DIY pair go back to war over the coveted NXT Championship at any point in the future, the company should play it safe with those particular alignments - then, now and forever.
