10 WWE Superstars That Should NEVER Turn Heel

2. John Cena

In his absence from the full time roster, years of calls for John Cena to turn his back on the audience have finally subsided. Only now, time fully removed from him being the face of every single show has this take been the most refreshing option for 'The Champ'.

At WrestleMania 35, Cena dusted off his 'Doctor Of Thuganomics' persona much to the overt joy of an exhausted New Jersey crowd. This was far from just Ruthless Aggression nostalgia informing the cheer - people were genuinely pleased to see a star of his magnitude turn up to rattle the f*ck out of Elias in something far more satisfying than a six minute squash.

From once being the most ungainly piece of furniture in WWE, Cena the occasional table is now eye-catching and functional in equal measure. To make him a villain now after holding off all this time would be so Vince McMahon that it's almost likely. Here's hoping he trusts the same instinct that stopped him from doing just that for so for well over a decade.
