10 WWE Superstars Vince McMahon Completely Lost Interest In

1. Mr. Kennedy

Ken Kennedy had a fantastic first year in WWE. For a while, he was considered the future of the company, perhaps even the new €˜Stone Cold€™ Steve Austin. That€™s the reason for the moniker: he was named after Vince€™s middle name, and at one point was intended to be the recipient of the dubious honour of being named Vince€™s storyline illegitimate son. Kennedy wasn€™t Austin€ but he wasn€™t sh*tbox either, and he had plenty of upside. Unfortunately, he also had plenty of enemies, due to his habit of running off at the mouth and some sloppy work in the ring. Bad luck would become a factor too, when a suspected serious injury was revealed to be nasty bruising - by that point, he€™d already lost the Money In The Bank briefcase he€™d only just won. Finally, the one-two punch of a steroid scandal and a botched backdrop on golden boy Randy Orton were the straws that broke the camel€™s back. Kennedy was released in May 2009, only a few days after returning from injury. Over three painful years, the sure thing had lagged back, becoming a rank outsider. Vince McMahon, who€™d given him his name and earmarked him for great, great things, had washed his hands of him.
