8. Nia Jax

At the turn of the year, Nia Jax was feuding with Sasha Banks as a heel and gamely trying to impose herself as Raw's most intimidating female threat. That was always going to be a challenge when Ronda Rousey, a seasoned, real fighter was on her way in.

Things have changed dramatically for Jax since WWE penned her to break down in tears after hearing Alexa Bliss call her fat. Considering that body-shaming is such a sensitive subject - one WWE could have easily mishandled - everything has worked out well.

Jax captured the Raw Women's Title at 'Mania 34 and received a happy end to her journey from cold, monstrous heel to inspiring story for young women who don't happen to be stick thin. WWE came through for Nia when it mattered most and successfully heaped sympathy on her in the lead-up to that win.

Now, Jax can become a role model to further remove WWE from the old Diva days.
