The best story in wrestling right now could conclude with the greatest ending.
One of the most surprising and incredible things about the current Sami Zayn and the Bloodline saga is that it sort of built out of nowhere. Zayn has been playing a heel on WWE TV for five years now, and for most of it, he has been a blithering idiot. He's so wonderfully entertaining that it never hurts his credibility, but think back six months.
He was losing to Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania.
Now, he is the focal point of a genuinely tremendous storyline that has seen his buffoonish qualities endear him to the most powerful, but most dangerous man on the roster. Few would have thought they would be willing for Zayn to be accepted by Reigns and the Bloodline, but the segment on last week's SmackDown was absolutely stellar.
One point soon, we will see Zayn be obliterated by the Bloodline, at the behest of Roman Reigns, and it will be devastating. The former 'Conspiracy Theorist' will be over like rover when he returns for his revenge, and surely, the ballsiest finale to this wonderful story is Zayn taking the ultimate revenge and relieving Reigns of his titles?
As much as this writer prays that happens, the likely result will be Zayn and Jey Uso's rivalry culminating in Sami and his old pal, Kevin Owens, breaking the WWE Tag Titles out of the Uso Penetentary, but man, if ever there was a time to strike while the iron was hot...
