Having criticised WWE creative in the introduction, it’s only fair to say they’ve done a fairly decent job with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross lately.

Their pairing has elevated Nikki from utter nobody and allowed ‘Little Miss Bliss’ to play to her disingenuous strengths. They’ve managed to do this by making Cross look naive but not a total, credulous idiot.

Sadly all good things come to an end. Such is the nature of weekly, soapy, episodic television.

The story could culminate in fine fashion if doubts and tensions are allowed to simmer across the rounds of a tournament.

Nikki could interfere in Bliss’ matches only to feel let down when the help isn’t reciprocated. Then they could face off in the final with Nikki ultimately refusing to fall on her sword and taking the fight to Bliss with unexpected intensity.
