10 WWE Superstars Who Deserve A Major Push After SummerSlam 2018
7. Asuka
This year started off so well for Asuka. Having left NXT undefeated, 'The Empress of Tomorrow' made her presence felt on the Raw roster and ultimately, went on to win the first ever women's Royal Rumble match. She would then go on to challenge Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women's Championship, where she suffered her first loss. With a well-told story and a shocking ending, Asuka's journey is a beautiful example of how you book someone strong.
What you don't do is go on to have that unstoppable force lose a further two times to a much lesser wrestler due to outside interference from one of the worst supporting characters in WWE history. The angle with Carmella destroyed the allure of Asuka and made the most intimidating woman on the WWE roster look like an idiot. After this travesty, she didn't even get a spot on the SummerSlam card.
Despite this horrid booking, Asuka is still easily the most enticing superstar in the Women's Division. With Evolution on the horizon, WWE needs to repair the damage they have done to this incredible character and have her return to her former dominance.
