10 WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need A Character Change In 2015

5. Bad News Barrett

Since returning after WrestleMania XXX, former Nexus leader Wade Barrett has made a huge impact as his mic-heavy "Bad News" gimmick made its way from its podium to the ring. Barrett continued to deliver entertaining cheap heat promos and picked up the WWE Intercontinental Championship from a stagnating Big E at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. However, Barrett's momentum was stalled when he suffered a separated shoulder in June after being thrown into a barricade by Jack Swagger. He has not made a return to the ring since and the Bad News character has thus been absent. When the star made his return to television during the Survivor Series kick-off show, he received an enormously positive reaction from the WWE Universe, which does not fit his heel character. Barrett's impending return to the ring would be all the more powerful if the British brawler returns as a babyface act. He needn't drop his current gimmick, as he can just as easily deliver his distinctive news to heels rather than babyfaces. Barrett has found a character that really works, both for him and for the fans, and he just needs to make a tiny little tweak in order to take it to the next level.
