10 WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need New Entrance Theme Music

7. Cesaro

Cesaro’s current theme sounds like the backing track of a mid-2000’s album track by The Cure. It isn’t difficult to imagine Robert Smith wailing over the top of it in his inimitable (but all too imitated) style, probably singing about love and spiders or something equally gothic. It certainly fits The Cure, but does it fit the Swiss Superman? That’ll be a resounding ‘no’.

Cesaro has settled into the Wade Barrett role of having more theme tunes than anyone can actually remember, none of which seem to have defined the massively under-utilized performer that comes out to them. If anything, Cesaro’s best-fitting theme was ‘Patriot’, the USA-banger that served as the theme for his tag team with Jack Swagger way back when.

The former Antonio is going to go down in history as one of the great generals of the game, a man that the WWE never really knew how to use and a performer that will almost certainly top ‘Should Have Won A World Championship’ lists for years to come. The chances of Cesaro reaching that goal are unlikely, but even more unlikely with a Tears for Fears knock-off of a theme.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
