10 WWE Superstars Who Didn't Debut As Wrestlers
7. Braun Strowman
First Appearance: 2014
Official Debut: 24 August 2015
Adam Rose's entourage of obnoxious party-goers provided an early peek at a lot of NXT superstars; Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, and Dana Brooke all appeared as nondescript revelers, and Simon Gotch showed up as a be-fezzed guy in a Victorian bathing suit. No one stood out more than the future 'Monster Among Men', who made his first appearance on WWE television as an unnamed Halloween Express gladiator.
Amazingly, Strowman never appeared on NXT television as himself; he worked as "Braun Stowman" on the house show circuit and graduated directly to the main roster, gaining an "r" in the process. Someday, when Braun Strowman's a multiple time World champion and the closest thing WWE can manage to a new Undertaker, some young fan is going to go back and watch old episodes of NXT and do a spit take when they see the big guy merrily prancing around in thrall of Adam "Russell Offbrand" Rose.
