7. Hulk Hogan - Leg Drop

When you think of the name Hulk Hogan, high risk bumps don't exactly spring to mind.

Hogan became a megastar during a period when ladder matches and extreme stipulations weren't anywhere near as common as they are today. However, that doesn't mean that he was able to escape from in-ring competition without some long term damage.

Thanks to Hogan's signature Leg Drop finisher, the 'Immortal' wrestler had to undergo numerous back surgeries in later life and his body has been altered forever due to the constant stress which was put on it by the move.

Hogan confessed to the L.A. Times in 2019 that "dropping the leg for 35 years did me in" and that he'd "use the sleeper" as his match-ender if he could go back and change his career.

Hopefully the next generation of superstars will learn from the mistakes of Hogan and Matt Hardy. The Leg Drop is an iconic move in its own right, but it definitely isn't sustainable and some serious consequences may be waiting down the road if a star opts to add the move into their regular arsenal in the future.
