Vince McMahon was absolutely desperate to make Nelson Frazier a star because... well, just look at him. No matter how many spines his considerable posterior ruptured, another chance would always be lurking around the corner.

Not to say the chairman didn't lose patience with big Nels. His first run, under the inexplicable nom de guerre 'Mabel' was undoubtedly his most prominent, as he went from polychromatic rapper to evil king and pretender to Kevin 'Diesel' Nash's WWE Championship. The Lyin' King's push was effectively squashed when he did the same to Big Daddy Cool's back at SummerSlam '95, much to the fury of the boss. Magnanimously, Nash stepped into spare the big fella his job.

The reprieve was temporary. Though he was placed in a prominent feud with The Undertaker, Mabel's colossal arse once more put a major star on the sidelines, memorably necessitating a Phantom of the Opera style mask for The Phenom's legitimately injured orbital bone. He was fired weeks after the incident.

Apparently there were no hard feelings between 'Taker and his assailant; the former initiated Frazier into his occult Ministry of Darkness following his 1998 return. The second run was only as good as the Ministry existed, descending into the type big-boy playboy cliché shortly after its disbandment. Frazier was let go once more in August 2000.

He came back for one last run in 2004. The arc was identical: from evil Viscera, to pyjama-wearing love machine, to future endeavoured.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
