Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has become a prominent member of the tag team division, working with Big E and Xavier Woods as a part of The New Day. Kingston holds the record for the longest tag team title reign in WWE history with his New Day buddies. Apart from Woods and Big E, Kofi has won the championships with CM Punk. The duo had defeated Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes to seize the gold.

After splitting with Punk, Kingston formed a partnership with Evan Bourne as the pair won the crowns from David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty in August 2011. Their reign ended at a live event, but soon Kingston rose to the top with R-Truth.

Speaking of his current position in the organization, The New Day had won the WWE Year End award for the best unit of 2019. It would be intriguing to see how long the group stays together.
