Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho had won the tag team titles five times in Vince McMahon's organization. Surprisingly, he could not have more than one reign with any of his partners. 'Y2J' tasted success in this division for the first time with his compatriot Chris Benoit in 2001. Next, he teamed up with The Rock to win the titles from The Dudley Boyz.

Another Canadian wrestler with whom the 9-time Intercontinental Champion joined hands with was Christian. The two superstars formed an entertaining alliance. However, their run as a unit came to a bitter end. In the coming years, 'The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla' would win the gold with Edge and Big Show. Unfortunately, Edge's injury did not allow the duo to stay at the top of the department for a long time, but Jericho picked Big Show as his new ally and team Jeri-Show held the belts for 140 days.

He had formed another fantastic partnership with Kevin Owens a few years before his exit. However, the Canadian pair could not seize the premier crowns of the two-on-two wrestling section despite competing in title bouts.
