10 WWE Superstars Who Helped Define Extreme Rules
5. Sheamus
Sheamus is a man who’s had his fair share of success at Extreme Rules, dating back to his debut in 2010 when he defeated the Game. As far as career-defining wins in your rookie year go, there aren’t many scalps bigger than Triple H.
The following year saw something of a blip when he lost his United States Championship to Kofi Kingston in a Tables match, but more than made up for it in 2012. Entering the show as World Heavyweight Championship, the Celtic Warrior knocked off Daniel Bryan in a 23-minute 2-out-of-3 falls match.
The gold has since alluded him at the event, but he did managed to score a victory over Mark Henry in a Strap Match two years ago. Those two big wins in 2010 and 2012 though are enough to make Sheamus one of the more memorable Extreme Rules competitors.
And with Dolph Ziggler up next for him this time around, expect the Irishman to add another solid showing to his résumé.
