Okay, so they’re technically three superstars, not one, but so far it’s difficult to pick a standout star from the renegade faction’s previous Extreme Rules outings.

In their debut in 2013, the trio managed to make a piece of history by leaving the arena with all the gold. Dean Ambrose defeated Kofi Kingston to capture the United States Championship, before Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns conquered Team Hell No for the tag titles, making for a rather formidable sight.

Then last year, in one of the group’s defining moments, they defeated Evolution—arguably the greatest faction in WWE history—to crown their ascension to the top of the pile.

They may only have made two appearances at the PPV, but they were possibly two of the most dominant appearances to date. Of course, there won’t be any such repeat this year after the messy breakup of last year. But that doesn’t mean we won’t be talking about the same three guys at the end of the show.

United or divided, those three former Shield members never fail to shine.
