Jerry Lawler has been involved in wrestling for thirty-four years, first as the biggest attraction the Memphis territory had ever seen, and then as colour commentator for Monday Night Raw. As commentator, hes been off-and-on with the company since the early nineties and his voice is synonymous with The Attitude Era of professional wrestling. At sixty-five years old, he also shows no signs of hanging up his wrestling boots either, even after his heart attack live on air two years ago. Just this year, hes been in the ring with the likes of Scott Steiner, and even the NXT-bound Kevin Owens. A lot of fans have grown tired with the Raw announce team, and Jerrys style of commentating in particular. It had its time and place in the late-nineties but society has moved on and no-one wants to hear a lascivious old man lust after women forty years his junior. The entire Raw commentary table is in dire need of a severe shake-up, and Jerry should be the first to go. Hes had a truly legendary career both in the ring and out of it, but he should realise hes outstayed his welcome by about ten years and hand the headset over to someone new.
