10 WWE Superstars Who Must Retire In 2017
6. David Otunga
If you thought JBL was bad on the commentary team, you might want to mute the TV whenever David Otunga chips in with his unique brand of 'analysis'.
With gems such as claiming that former WWE champ The Miz 'isn't an athlete' to believing that Naomi is the only woman to ever perform springboard attacks, Otunga's comments now actively detract from the excitement of the in-ring product. That's the precise opposite of what a pro-wrestling commentator's job is supposed to achieve.
Otunga is, quite frankly, dreadful. While his marriage to Jennifer Hudson gives Otunga the kind of mainstream celebrity connections that WWE so craves, it's difficult to see what he actually offers Smackdown on screen beyond that. We'd far rather hear more from the likes of Daniel Bryan or Austin Aries on commentary, or for Tom Phillips to be given a greater role on the Smackdown commentary team. At least he knows what he's actually talking about.
