10 WWE Superstars Who Should Have Been Pushed Harder

6. Brian Pillman

Brian Pillman was a huge part of wrestling in the '90s for both WWE and WCW, but despite a large following and alliance with Bret Hart's stable, he never won any gold during his WWE run. WCW used Pillman to help launch their original light-heavyweight division. Before Rey Mysterio and La Parka were tearing it up in the cruiserweight division, Pillman and Jushin "Thuner" Liger were putting on amazing matches. WCW didn't know the kind of raw talent Pillman had flowing through his veins, and they eventually lost him to ECW. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPusp3-Tt_A Under the guidance of Paul Heyman, Pillman took on a new heel persona who was clearly a few McNuggets short of a Happy Meal. This character carried over to WWE, but the powers that be never used him as anything more than a novelty act. He had some great moments feuding with his former Hollywood Blonds partner, Steve Austin, but most of his other feuds were lacking any real substance. WWE is the leader in pro wrestling, but they make plenty of mistakes. Burying Pillman in the background of a stable was one of their biggest from that era. The wrestling world lost Pillman in 1997, but his legacy will live on forever.
