10 WWE Superstars Who Should Have Been Pushed Harder

5. Kozlov

Rusev is currently wreaking havoc as the United States champion, but there was another Russian who had loads of potential who was given a big push before being turned into a comedy character. His name was Vladimir Kozlov. Kozlov was thrown into the fire almost immediately after he debuted on the main roster. He headlined a pay-per-view against Triple H and Edge for the WWE Championship and gained some notable wins, including a clean victory over The Undertaker. It seemed like he would be the next great foreign heel, but for some reason, his push was stalled and he was buried like so many before him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0im-TCGEgh0 Once he began teaming with Santino Marella, it became extremely clear that he had lost any momentum he once had. He made the gimmick work and produced a few funny moments, but even his sense of humor couldn't save him from being released.
